Solar Panels

Our solar PV systems generate electricity from sunlight for your home or business. These panels can be installed on your roof, ground mounted or in a carport. You can use the electricity to power your home or business or charge electric vehicles, any surplus can be stored in batteries to use later.

Solar PV panels will reduce your energy bills and carbon footprint. You can either use this electricity yourself or generate an income by selling any excess to your electricity supplier.

We only use quality components from established companies such as Q Cells, Solarwatt, JA Solar, Trina and REC. Our inverters come from SolarEdge, SMA, Fronius and Solis.

We can install panels on either flat or pitched roofs, ground mount or in a carport.

Is my home suitable?

Solar panels are suitable for most homes, however the size of your roof, the direction it faces and the pitch will ultimately determine which solar panel system is right for you.

Size – A bigger roof means  more panels and more panels means you will be able to create more energy. An average system will typically take up around 15-20m2 of roof area.

Direction – The best roofs for solar are south facing however east and westerly facing roofs work well too.

Pitch- On diagonal roofs the best pitch angle is between 30-40º (this is the typical angle of most UK rooftops). We can also fit on flat roofs, ground mounted or on a carport.

How much do Solar Panels cost?

Solar panels have advanced in the past ten years, systems are now cheaper and more efficient. With energy costs increasing and panel prices falling, it’s the perfect time to consider a solar panel system.

The cost of installing a system for a typical 3-bedroom house is around £6,000.

This includes:

  • 8 x 400-450W solar panels
  • Installation and scaffolding costs
  • 25 year panel performance warranty
  • System monitoring and performance app
